We are having a week touring the south island of NZ before getting on the boat. When do you arrive in Dunedin ?

Hi Ann, and YES! That's me! 20 sleeps to go! very excited and very much looking forward to the whole thing. I am having another practice run tomorrow at the Chill On Ice Lounge on Russell St in Melbourne tomorrow. It is minus 10 in there and everything is ice! Just the thing on a hot day, eh? Taking my spinning wheel and going to spin some exotic fibre this time.....(samoyd, possum, rabbit....) and see how they behave in such temperatures. Do you spin? Marion

The skein idea has changed a bit, Barbara. The Mawson's Huts Foundation has supplied for me a solour photo of Sir Douglas's original balaclava,
so I will spin up the correct colours and do a replica, spun in Antarctica, plied on the Southern Ocean, and Knitted on the way back to NZ, and Auction that!
Much better than just a skein.....Marion

Are you sure people would want to buy a skein of this wool? Certainly it has some interest because of where you are going to do it - but perhaps knit something from the yarn and auction a product?
